Last year we began involving the youth where we go to the poor communities and give out toys to those really poor kids. It is amazing the experience that they learn through this. I have heard some say; we really thought we had nothing and we were poor but I can’t imagine myself living in these conditions.

Many families look for the way of getting food for Christmas but the children are often forgotten. It is very rare that they would receive a little toy to play with.

This experience is such a humbling experience for everyone seeing the smiles in those faces of the children content to receive even such a little item!!!

Thank you to those churches and may we encourage others to jump in the project thus being able to reach others in need!!!

A Grandmother and her two grandchildren were recently baptized.
The baptisms here on the island in Brick Bay  have been a real challenge for us mostly from the influence that the Pentecostal churches have had. For many years before us, people have been thinking that they could not baptize their children until a certain age, and their belief has been that their Christian faith needs to be really solid in order to baptize or be baptized.
This thinking is finally changing in our congregation and now we are baptizing adults over 50 year olds  and many kids as well.
Recently we baptized  Judy (over 50th) Sherrie and Jimmy. (Judy’s grandchildren) This is a real break through mostly for her and her two grandchildren because just 8 months ago,  her son, father of Sherrie and Jimmy suddenly disapeared, with no trace as to where he is. They still have not found him, no sign whether he is dead or alive. We as a church have been always supporting this family in this difficult moment they have been facing. God’s strength has been especially real in their life.
This time we had the baptisms at the Church in Brick Bay, due to the weather but  it was a great time for this family becoming members of  God’s Family.
Please pray for them.  May the power of the Holy Spirit strengthen  them to continue to grow in their spiritual life.

We did have a Workshop on AIDS, Values, Leadership, Sexuality and Auto-esteem.

We meet about 30 young people  from the Church in Brick Bay and Coxen Hole, to incorage them to live for life in appropriate way.

Donations from Cruise Ships for the poor of the Island.

During different times of the year some churches on the Island of Roatan receive from the Cruise Ships  donations  of matresses, sheets  and others implements, to give for free to our members or a poor family on Roatan Island.

As an Anglican Church we started receiving sheets and matresses to give to our people in the church in Coxen Hole and Brick Bay, and also other families and schools  in Roatan.

! I tell you, whenever you did this for one of the least important of these followers of mine, you did it for me!     MATTHEW 25:40

Please  pray for the poor of the Island of Roatan.

They are traveling today from Roatan to Mainland to attend the Men`s Cursillo Weekend.

Edimar is a member of the Church in Brick Bay and Jaime from the church in Coxen Hole.

Thank you very much for all your prayers. It was indeed a great day, and had a great time on the beach celebrating the new birth of these new followers of Jesus. May God continue to bless them in their walk with Him.
